Health and Safety Executive targeted inspections of the waste industry!

From Monday 3rd of October 2022, the Health and Safety Executive are starting targeted inspections of the waste industry.

During the next six months the inspectors will be focussing on:

🟢 Machinery
🟢 Containment walls
🟢 Workplace transport

They will be ensuring sites comply with the relevant WISH Guidance.

Who are WISH?


The Waste Industry Safety and Health (WISH) Forum exists to communicate and consult with key stakeholders, including local and national government bodies, equipment manufacturers, trade associations, professional associations and trade unions.


The aim of WISH is to identify, devise and promote activities that can improve industry health and safety performance.
